United States Army Warrant Officers Association

Army Warrant Officers

"The Army Warrant Officer (WO) is a self–aware and adaptive technical expert, combat leader, trainer, and advisor. Through progressive levels of expertise in assignments, training, and education, the WO administers, manages, maintains, operates, and integrates Army systems and equipment across the full spectrum of Army operations. Warrant officers are competent and confident warriors, innovative integrators of emerging technologies, dynamic teachers, and developers of specialized teams of soldiers. They support a wide range of Army missions throughout their career. Warrant officers in the Army are accessed with specific levels of technical ability. They refine their technical expertise and develop their leadership and management skills through tiered progressive assignments and education."

I started my military career in 1982 with a break in service, so adjusted to July 1983.r />
I was a 05C Radio Teletype Operator, then 76 V, 76 C then 92A.

I rose through the enlisted ranks as a 92A E7 when I went to WOCS.

Graduated Ft. Rucker, Class 05-001, May 2001 - "Prepared to Strike, Sir!" I am currently serving as a 920B in the state of Idaho.

As a 920B I have managed the Class IX SSA for the state of Idaho, a Multi Class Warehouse in Iraq for OIF 3, and in 2007 became a TAC Officer for WOCS. I am currently serving as the Warrant Officer Candidate School Course Manager for Idaho as well as a Senior TAC Officer.

I am married to CW4 David Hartley, we have 2 daughters, 2 sons, and 4 grandchildren between us.

I joined the USAWOA in 2002. I enjoy getting together with fellow warrant Officers. I serve as the Gem State chapter secretary and have for several years. I really enjoy organizing events for my Warrant Officer Brothers and Sisters.

I love my job, and I love being a Warrant Officer.
